Type specimen: UMMP 29260, a mandible ( a right jaw with m1-m3. The incisor, coronoid process, and tip of the angle are missing). Its type locality is Jinglebob, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial horizon in the Kingsdown Formation of Kansas.
Ecology: saltatorial herbivore
Distribution: there are no occurrences of Zapus adamsi in the database
