Type specimen: MNHN-QU 1772, a mandible (dext. with p2-m3). Its type locality is Mouillac, which is in a Rupelian terrestrial phosphorite in the Quercy Phosphorites Formation of France.

Ecology: ground dwelling grazer-browser

Distribution:

• Oligocene of France (7 collections), Germany (1)
