Type specimen: MHNB HE.M.136.A, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Boom (Miocene), which is in a Burdigalian marine sandstone in the Berchem Formation of Belgium.
Ecology: aquatic herbivore
Distribution: found only at Boom (Miocene)
