Type specimen: IITR/SB/VLM 508, a tooth (isolated left [lower] P4). Its type locality is Vastan Lignite Mine, which is in a Ypresian lagoonal siltstone/claystone in the Cambay Shale Formation of India.

Ecology: volant insectivore

Distribution: found only at Vastan Lignite Mine
