Type specimen: BMNH M8434, a maxilla. Its type locality is NNW of Birket Qarun, which is in a Rupelian fluvial horizon in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.
Ecology: scansorial herbivore
Distribution: found only at NNW of Birket Qarun
