Type specimen: CGM 10193, a mandible. Its type locality is NNW of Birket Qarun, which is in a Rupelian fluvial horizon in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at NNW of Birket Qarun
