Type specimen: USNM 25687, a maxilla (partial rostrum, P3/-M3/). Its type locality is Mauvilla, which is in a Hemphillian marginal marine horizon in Alabama.

Ecology: ground dwelling grazer

Distribution: found only at Mauvilla
