Shaochilong maortuensis

Taxonomy
Chilantaisaurus maortuensis was named by Hu (1964). Its type specimen is IVPP V.2885, a skull, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Maortu, which is in a Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Ulansuhai Formation of China.

It was recombined as Shaochilong maortuensis by Brusatte et al. (2009) and Carrano et al. (2012).
