Shaochilong maortuensis

Reptilia - Carcharodontosauridae

Taxonomy
Chilantaisaurus maortuensis was named by Hu (1964). Its type specimen is IVPP V.2885, a skull, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Maortu, which is in a Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Ulansuhai Formation of China.

It was recombined as Shaochilong maortuensis by Brusatte et al. (2009), Carrano et al. (2012), Fernandes de Azevedo et al. (2013), Dalman (2014) and Chiarenza and Cau (2016).
