Helladotherium was named by Gaudry (1860). It is not extant.
It was assigned to Sivatheriini by Kostopoulos (2009); to Sivatheriinae by Kahn et al. (2010); and to Giraffidae by Carroll (1988), Theodorou et al. (2003) and Kostopoulos (2016).
