Pappocetus lugardi
Taxonomy
Pappocetus lugardi was named by Andrews (1920). Its type specimen is BMNH M11414, a mandible (left dentary with P2-M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Port Harcourt RR, which is in a Bartonian deep-water horizon in the Ameki Formation of Nigeria. It is the type species of Pappocetus.
