Mamenchisaurus fuxiensis

Taxonomy
Zigongosaurus fuxiensis was named by Hou et al. (1976). It is not extant. Its type specimen is CV 00261. Its type locality is Wujiaba Dam Quarry, Zigong, which is in an Oxfordian terrestrial horizon in the Shangshaximiao Formation of China.

It was synonymized subjectively with Omeisaurus junghsiensis by Dong et al. (1983) and McIntosh (1990); it was recombined as Mamenchisaurus fuxiensis by Zhang and Chen (1996), Upchurch et al. (2004) and Lü et al. (2008).
