Rhynchonella djeffarae was named by Dubar (1967). It is not extant. Its type locality is Tazerdunet (Tataouine), which is in a Callovian/Kimmeridgian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone/marl in the Tataouine Formation of Tunisia.
