Taxonomy
Lingulella (Lingulepis) prisca was named by Poulsen (1932). Its type specimen is MGUH 3503, a valve (Ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Eoobolus priscus by Skovsted and Holmer (2005) and Peel (2021).
