Prunum (Prunum) godini was named by Olsson (1964) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene; Ecuador.]. Its type specimen is USNM 643946, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Quebrada Camarones [Esmeraldas Fm], which is in a Pliocene marine sandstone/sandstone in the Esmeraldas Formation of Ecuador.
