Potamonycteris biperforatus
Taxonomy
Potamonycteris biperforatus was named by Czaplewski (1991). Its type specimen is UNSM 52008, a partial skull (left half of a rostrum including the broken crowns of M2-M3 and alveoli for the other upper teeth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Annie's Geese Crossing Quarry, which is in a Barstovian fluvial conglomerate/sandstone in the Valentine Formation of Nebraska. It is the type species of Potamonycteris.
