Taxonomy
Rhynchonella vivida was named by Bittner (1890) [Rhynchonella decurtata var. vivida].

It was recombined as Decurtella vivida by Siblik (1971); it was recombined as Volirhynchia vivida by Dagys (1974), Pálfy (1988) and Torti and Angiolini (1997).
