Taxonomy
Lingulepis malongensis was named by Rong (1974) [Holotype lost.]. Its type specimen is NIGP 22154, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Lingulellotreta malongensis by Holmer et al. (1997).
