Preflorianites strongi

Taxonomy
Danubites strongi was named by Hyatt and Smith (1905). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Union Wash, Meekoceras bed, Inyo Range, which is in a Smithian slope limestone in the Union Wash Formation of California. It is the type species of Preflorianites.

It was recombined as Preflorianites strongi by Spath (1934), Kummel and Steele (1962) and Kummel (1969).
