Mallorcagryllus hispanicus
Taxonomy
Mallorcagryllus hispanicus was named by Aristov and Zessin (2009) [Natureum am Schloss Ludwigslust, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Specimen listed as SZ BM 1/1 in figure caption]. Its type specimen is SZ TM 10/1, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Port de Estellencs, Mallorca, which is in an Aegean/Bithynian wet floodplain sandstone in the Son Serralta Formation of Spain. It is the type species of Mallorcagryllus.
