Nothosoma octostychius
Taxonomy
Nothosoma octostychius was named by Egerton (1858). Its type specimen is BMNH P566, a partial skeleton (lacking head), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Street, Egerton collection, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian marine horizon in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Nothosoma.
