Hulettia americana
Taxonomy
Pholidophorus americanus was named by Eastman (1899). Its type specimen is NMNH 4788a, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Three-quarters mile southeast of Hot Springs, which is in a Bathonian coastal sandstone in the Sundance Formation of South Dakota. It is the type species of Hulettia.
It was recombined as Hulettia americana by Schaeffer and Patterson (1984).
