Taxonomy
Adelogyrinus simorhynchus was named by Watson (1929). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pentland Oil Works, near Loanhead, which is in a Visean marine shale in the West Lothian Oil Shale Formation of the United Kingdom.
