Retitriporites federicii was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-72-487 (Catatumbo). Loc: 48.9X116 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.

A. E. González-Guzmán 1967Pollen grain triporate; equatorial limb circular; pore P α 3b, P β 3b, P γ 2; sculpture type reticulate (diameter of lumina about 3 μ); muri 2 μ broad. Each pore provided with an annulus of about 5 μ in diameter. Thickness of exine about 2.3 μ; ectexine thicker than endexine. Wall semitectate. Some specimens have 4 pores and sometimes the grains are united in tetrads.
