Taxonomy
Tedorosaurus asuwaensis was named by Shikama (1967). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Kowashozu, Miyami Town, which is in an Oxfordian terrestrial horizon in the Kowashozu Formation of Japan.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Evans and Matusmoto (2015).
