Chthonophis subterraneus
Taxonomy
Chthonophis subterraneus was named by Longrich et al. (2015). Its type specimen is AMNH 30799, a mandible (Right dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bug Creek Anthills, which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana. It is the type species of Chthonophis.
