Latentemys plowdeni
Taxonomy
Latentemys plowdeni was named by Gaffney et al. (2011). Its type specimen is BMNH R.11998 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wadi Moghra, which is in a MN 4 marginal marine sandstone in the Moghara Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Latentemys.
