Pyramiodontherium brevirostrum
Taxonomy
Pyramiodontherium brevirostrum was named by Carlini et al. (2002). Its type specimen is MLP 3l-XI-12-25, a partial skull (cráneo con la región palatal y rostral completas, con los molariformes 2°, 30Y S" derechos, y 1 ,3°,4" Y5° izquierdos completos), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Andalhuala, which is in a Messinian/Zanclean terrestrial horizon in the Andalhuala Formation of Argentina.
