Taxonomy
Turris fernandoensis was named by English (1914). Its type specimen is UCMP 11919 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP 1602 Elsmere Canyon, which is in a Pliocene marine horizon in the Pico Formation of California.
