Thalassocnus natans

Taxonomy
Thalassocnus natans was named by Muizon and McDonald (1995). Its type specimen is MNHN SAS 734, a partial skeleton (skull, mandible, and partial skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sud Sacaco, Montemar, which is in a Messinian paralic siltstone in the Pisco Formation of Peru.
