Taxonomy
Rhinolophus wenzensis was named by Woloszyn (1987). It is not extant. Its type specimen is ZZSiD MF/551/1, a mandible (mandible sin. with p4-m3 and a damaged articular process).

B.W. Woloszyn 1987A large representative of Rhinolophus, close in dimensions to R. kowalskii Topal, differing from this species in its massive teeth, a robust p4, whose crown is almost square in outline, a massive talonid on m3 and a more strongly reduced p2.
