Apollonorthis bussacensis

Taxonomy
Orthis bussacensis was named by Sharpe (1853) [Orthis Bussacensis]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Buçaco, Serra de Bussaco, which is in a Kralodvorian marine ironstone in the Porto de Santa Anna Formation of Portugal.

It was recombined as Apollonorthis bussacensis by Mélou et al. (1999).

Synonyms
  • Apollonorthis lusitanica was named by Mitchell (1974). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Marao, which is in an Oretanian coastal siltstone in the Brejo Fundeiro Formation of Portugal.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Apollonorthis bussacensis by Mélou et al. (1999).
