Taxonomy
Arca hornii was named by Gabb (1864). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP 3578, east of Marsh Creek, which is in a Ypresian coastal sandstone in the Meganos Formation of California.
It was recombined as Halonanus hornii by Stewart (1930) and Reinhart (1943); it was recombined as Trigonodesma hornii by Vokes (1939); it was recombined as Pachecoa (Pachecoa) hornii by Moore (1983); it was recombined as Halonanus horni by Nilsen (1987); it was recombined as Pachecoa hornii by Hendy (2020).
