It was corrected as Dikelocephalidae by Jell and Adrain (2002), Adrain (2011) and Wernette et al. (2020).

It was assigned to Dikelocephalacea by Hughes (1994); to Asaphida by Jell and Adrain (2002); to Trilobita by Adrain (2011); and to Dikelocephaloidea by Wernette et al. (2020).
