Eulima was named by Risso (1826) [Sepkoski's age data: K Maes-l R Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is extant.
It was reranked as Melanella (Eulima) by Maury (1917).
It was assigned to Melanella by Maury (1917); to Melanellidae by Ward and Blackwelder (1987); to Heterostrophia by Sepkoski (2002); and to Eulimidae by Martin (1904), Sohl (1964), Addicott (1970), Woodring (1970), Ladd (1982), Wilson (1993), Todd (2001), Wienrich (2001) and Darragh (2017).
