It was assigned to Tachyrhynchinae by Golikov (1986); to Tachyrhynchiinae by Titova (1994); to Pareorinae by Allmon (1996); to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002); to Turritellinae by Bouchet et al. (2005); and to Turritellidae by Martin (1904), Rosenberg (2005) and Rosenberg et al. (2006).
