It was reranked as Cerithium (Tiaracerithium) by Sacco (1895); it was synonymized subjectively with Cerithium by Hendy (2007); it was reranked as Granulolabium (Tiaracerithium) by Le Renard and Pacaud (1995), Pacaud and Le Renard (1995), Harzhauser et al. (2002), Harzhauser (2004) and Lozouet (2014).

It was assigned to Cerithium by Sacco (1895); to Tiaracerithiinae by Bouniol (1981); to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002); to Batillariidae by Bouchet et al.
