Drillia bocatoroensis was named by Olsson (1922) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Miocene-Early Pliocene; Caribbean.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Carinodrillia bocatoroensis by Woodring (1928) and Hendy et al. (2008).
