Taxonomy
Arca golfoyaquensis was named by Maury (1917) [TYPE LOCALITY: Dominican Republica (Miocene-Pliocene). TYPE REPOSITORY: Presumably PRI, New York.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Scapharca golfoyaquensis by Maury (1917); it was recombined as Arca (Scapharca) golfoyaquensis by Olsson (1922); it was recombined as Anadara (Rasia) golfoyaquensis by Hendy et al. (2008).
