  • Cerithium algicola was named by Adams (1845) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; Caribbean.]. It is extant.

    It was recombined as Cerithium (Vulgocerithium) algicola by Vaughn (1921); it was synonymized subjectively with Cerithium eburneum by Hendy et al. (2008).
