Lathyrus sindiensis was named by Vredenburg (1921) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Myanmar, Pakistan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Latirus sindiensis by Iqbal (1969), Iqbal (1980) and Snyder (2003).
