Taxonomy
Adeorbis guppyi was named by Mansfield (1925) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Trinidad and Tobago.]. Its type specimen is USNM 352691, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS 9212, which is in a Miocene marine siliciclastic in Trinidad and Tobago.

It was recombined as Cyclostremiscus (Ponocyclus) guppyi by Perrilliat (1972).
