Sphenacodon ferocior
Taxonomy
Sphenacodon ferocior was named by Romer (1937). Its type specimen is MCZ 1489, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Spanish Queen mine locality, which is in a Wolfcampian terrestrial horizon in the Abo Formation of New Mexico.
