Taxonomy

Telephinidae was named by Marek (1952).

It was assigned to Aulacopleurida by Adrain (2011); and to Proetida by Whittington et al. (1997), Chatterton et al. (1999), Fortey and Droser (1999) and Fortey and Bruton (2013).
