Taxonomy
Baculites lechitides was named by Brunnschweiler (1966) [DISTRIBUTION: Maastrichtian; Western Australia.]. Its type specimen is CPC 2689, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality GC 8, Marilla Anticline, which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate limestone in the Miria Formation of Australia.
