Taxonomy
Nordiceras was named by Bogoslovsky (1955) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fras-m Sepkoski's reference number: 1042]. It is not extant. Its type is Prolecanites timanicus. It is the type genus of Nordiceratidae.

It was assigned to Anarcestida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Nordiceratidae by Korn and Klug (2002) and Korn (2006).
