Taxonomy
Diacodexis gazini was named by Godinot (1978). Its type specimen is RI 164, a tooth (left m2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rians, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Lignites de Soissonais Formation of France.
