Gastrochaenolites turbinatus
Taxonomy
Gastrochaenolites turbinatus was named by Kelly and Bromley (1984). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is BMNH L56724, an other, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Kankesanthurai [Jaffna Limestone], which is in a Burdigalian shallow subtidal limestone in the Jaffna Limestone Formation of Sri Lanka.
