Stehn coins this taxon as a sub-genus in the header but makes it clear in the text that he considers it a genus.

Taxonomy
Neuqueniceras was named by Stehn (1924) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bath-u J Call-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302].

It was assigned to Perisphinctidae by Stehn (1924); and to Reineckeiidae by Arkell et al. (1957).
