Taxonomy
Chlamys greggi was named by Harris (1897). Its type specimen is PRI 188, 189, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Chlamys (Chlamys) greggi by Tucker-Rowland (1936); it was recombined as Pecten greggi by Cooke (1936); it was recombined as Dhondtichlamys greggi by Waller (2006).
