Fordonia lavocati
Taxonomy
Fordonia lavocati was named by Marandat (1989). Its type specimen is USTL.FDN-132, a tooth (Left P4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fordones, which is in an Eocene fluvial siliciclastic in the Calcaire de Ventenac Formation of France. It is the type species of Fordonia.
